Turning off DiscountLock stops future renewals. Your current subscription continues through the end of its term. It takes about a minute in your account, or we can do it for you.
Turning off DiscountLock is not the same as cancelling
Turn off DiscountLock = no more renewals are charged, and your current subscription continues to the end of its term.
Cancel = the current order ends now and any unsent issues are refunded under our refund policy. If that is what you want, see How do I cancel an order?.
Two ways to turn it off
In your account (about a minute)
Sign in, open DiscountLock in your account menu, pick the subscription and choose Disable DiscountLock. You get a confirmation email right away.
Ask us to do it
Cannot sign in, or would rather not? Send us a message with the name and mailing address on the subscription, or your order number, and we will turn it off for you.
Good to know before you turn it off
- It cannot be turned back on. Once DiscountLock is off for a subscription, the locked price is gone. To renew later, place a new order at the price available then.
- It is per subscription. Turning it off for one magazine does not affect your others.
- Renewal already processed? Cancel it from My Orders within 6 months of the charge for a pro-rated refund of unsent issues. Cancel before the process date and it is refunded in full.
- Cancelling with the publisher does not stop it. DiscountLock is managed in your DiscountMags account, not on the publisher's site.
