I missed an issue. What should I do?

First, check the magazine's schedule; many titles skip or combine months. If an issue is really missing, tell us and we investigate with the publisher.

Updated September 19, 2026

Most "missing" issues turn out to be the magazine's normal schedule. If an issue really did not arrive, tell us and we will work with the publisher to fix it.

First, check the schedule

  • Many magazines do not publish every month. Bi-monthly titles publish 6 times a year, quarterlies 4, and many monthlies combine two months into one issue (for example a July/August issue). A gap is often just the schedule.
  • Waiting on a first issue? Allow the full window for your title, up to 12 weeks. See When will my first issue arrive?.
  • Recently moved? Publishers print labels weeks ahead, so the first one or two issues after an address change can go to the old address. See How do I change my address?.

Then tell us

Contact Customer Care with your order number (or the name and mailing address on the subscription) and which issue is missing. We send a status request to the publisher, and once they confirm, the missing issue is usually replaced or your subscription is extended.

Publisher investigations can take several weeks. We follow up with you as soon as we hear back, and you can check the status of the order in My Orders at any time.

Damaged or wrong issue?

Let us know the same way. Damaged issues are replaced when the publisher has copies available; otherwise your subscription is extended.
